Drag me to Hell

Drag me to Hell: I was a little standoffish with this movie…mainly because the story revolves around Alison Lohman character  ”Christine Brown” not giving Mrs. Ganush  (The witch) what she had asked for  which was an extension on her mortgage and then getting turned down by ” Christine Brown”. Which I found kind of dumb to have started all of it, but oh well…I liked the film but I think it could have had more improvement  with the script scenes to make the movie even scarier. Instead of hearing people in the theater scream or gasp…A bunch of them were laughing, and I have to admit I did to at some parts! Not sure if thats what the writers and directors had in mind! for the recorded if  Alison Lohman character “Christine Brown” had one more thing go in her mouth I was going to scream!  If you are looking for a bit of a thrill check this film out.

Plot: A loan officer  ordered to evict an old woman from her home finds herself the recipient of a supernatural curse, which turns her life into a living hell. Desperate, she turns to a seer to try and save her soul, while evil forces work to push her to a breaking point.

Angels & Demons

Angels & Demons:  Where should I begin? Angels & Demons to me is the monozygotic twin to “The Da Vinci Code” but Angels & Demons shows some epigenetic difference (Location and a slight tweak in the plot/script). I was a bit leery about this film but on saturday I heard a review on  some New York City news station saying that Angels & Demons was a must see. So I let my guard down, I wanted to go to the movies and it was either Angels & Demons or Management with Jennifer Aniston. However, I just could not stand another Aniston film! So, Angels & Demons it was… Plus, I am a fan of Ron Howard-Tom Hanks.

I felt if they took more time on the script with this film, it could have been so much more. It was too easy to read on ~ what was going to happen next, in the film and so obvious on who the villain was  ::cough:: Ewan McGregor ::cough::  But if you liked “The Da Vinci Code” then this is the film for you!

In the middle of the movie I turned my head around to see some of the reactions on the audiences faces, and a few of them were sleeping!  I wonder if Tom Hanks character ( Robert Langdon) could decode the picture below to see how I rate this film.

thumbsdown

Plot summary:When Robert Langdon (Tom Hanks) discovers evidence of the resurgence of an ancient secret brotherhood known as the illuminati the most powerful underground organization in history—he also faces a deadly threat to the existence of the secret organization’s most despised enemy: the Catholic Church. When Langdon learns that the clock is ticking on an unstoppable illuminati time bomb, he jets to Rome, where he joins forces with Vittoria Vetra, a beautiful and enigmatic Italian scientist. Embarking on a nonstop, action-packed hunt through sealed crypts, dangerous catacombs, deserted cathedrals, and even to the heart of the most secretive vault on earth, Langdon and Vetra will follow a 400-year-old train of ancient symbols that mark the Vatican’s only hope for survival.

Star Trek & The Stars Channeling Their Inner Trekkie

The long awaited film Star Trek is now officially out and I must say its a fantastic film! I am one who was never interested in these kinds of films, the script was up to date but in all seriousness of the film it had its funny/romantic parts, I walked out feeling like a true Trekkie myself! But from the looks of it celebrities like Model Kate Moss and Multi-talented Pharrell Williams have been channeling their inner Trekkies for sometime. Kate Moss looks fabulous in a sliver and black sequinned mini dress, from Balmian’s autumn/winter ’09 collection. Also Pharrell Williams with his own Star Trek “Vulcan salute” inspired gloves from his clothing line Billionaire Boys Club and Ice Cream.
