Transformers 2:  I was invited  to see Transformers 2 at a private screening with MTV, I must say that I was thrilled to hear that they were filming some scenes for Transformers 2 in Bethlehem, PA not to far from my home in Pennsylvania. I heard they were casting Asian actors/background artist for the  China scene which if you seen the movie already it was the town that the Decepticons were dystorying! I sent my info for that scene…Didn’t get the part…guess it’s because I am only part asian heh! Also the college ( Moravian College)  Sam Witwicky was attending was located in Bethlehem, Pa also! Don’t believe me? Google it! Oh yeah one more thing, this doesn’t have to do with PA! In the movie when they were in the Diego Garcia which when it came up on the big screen I was abit shocked because at one time my Grandfather was stationed in the Diego Garcia for a couple years. I even have the hat to prove it, which reminds me I need to take some pics with  it  on :)  Ok…now let me get to my quick  review!

I preferred Transformers 2 to the first film…I felt that the part 2 had more in the story line, more action…and even more Megan Fox/Shia LaBeouf yum! how can you go wrong? Alot of other reviews I heared about this film to me seem to be wrong, I didn’t think the film was to long and I sure didn’t mind the bad language…If anything I felt it better fit the movie. Plan and simple Transformers 2 was good! If you haven’t seen part 2 go check it out!

UP

UP: I wanted to see this film earlier but wanted to wait for the 3D…And I am so glad I did! it made me love the film even more. This film is not just for kids I am in my early 20′s and really enjoyed the movie, As the theater was showing previews I saw people of all ages pack in! This animated film had some realistic scenario’s especially when Russell the little boy in movie had a very absent father ( and I  was touched that Carl turns out to be Russell’s “Big brother well more like Second Grandfather” heh) or when Carl Fredrickson and his wife wanted to have children but couldn’t or when Carl’s wife passes away. I thought it was  kind of different to put in this movie…  but I like what they did to maybe show the  films triggered  younger audience if they have the same issues with not having a parent in there lives, or someone passing away. I think that its good to show because in todays cookie cutter world of movies/tv shows children think if there life isn’t like the ones on Tv/Movies then there life isn’t right. But I am glad they didn’t sugar coat anything in the movie! unlike other animated films or films in general…I highly recommend UP!

I don’t know why for some reason the little boy in the movie reminded me so much of my friend Jarffy Chan :)

Plot: A young Carl Fredrickson meets a young adventure spirited girl named Ellie. They both dream of going to a Lost Land in South America. 70 years later, Ellie has died. Carl remembers the promise he made to her. Then, when he inadvertently hits a construction worker, he is forced to go to a retirement home. But before they can take him, he and his house fly away. However he has a stowaway aboard. An 8 year old boy named Russell, whose trying to get an assisting the elderly badge. Together, they embark in an adventure, where they encounter talking dogs, an evil villain and a rare bird named Kevin.

The Hangover

The Hangover: I absolutely loved this movie! it has all the right elements for a raunchy comedy movie…I was truly entertained. It had a feel similar to Pineapple express…which I liked too. After leaving the theater I plan on taking a trip to Las Vegas sometime soon!  Everyone go  see this film!

Plot: “Doug (Justin Bartha) is about to be married, so his friends — Stu (Ed Helms), a dentist planning on proposing to his girlfriend of three years, Phil (Bradley Cooper), a schoolteacher bored of the married life, and Doug’s soon to be brother-in-law Alan (Zach Galifianakis), who is smart yet socially-inept — take him to Las Vegas for a bachelor party. Stu’s girlfriend is very controlling, thereby forcing Stu to lie to her about their destination.
The guys get a suite at their hotel, then sneak on to the roof of the hotel and toast to the night ahead. Skipping forward to the next morning, the three groomsmen awake with no memory of the previous night. They find Doug missing, Stu missing a tooth, a tiger in the bathroom, and a baby in the closet. Initially they believe Doug to have gone out for breakfast, but soon worry when his cellphone has been left behind. They collect what memories they have to figure what happened to Doug. The valet brings them a police car, which they had dropped off the night before.

Because Phil is wearing a hospital bracelet, the guys head to the hospital. The doctor identifies roofies in their blood, and tells them that they had just come from a wedding. At the chapel, they learn that Stu had married a girl named Jade (Heather Graham). On the way to her place they’re attacked by two Chinese thugs. They escape and find her, where she reveals she’s a hooker and the baby is her’s. Cops bust into her apartment to arrest the three men for stealing their car. However, not wanting to face the embarassment of losing their car, they work out a deal in which the men volunteer to demonstrate how tasers are used. Afterwards they pick up their car in good shape, though a Chinese man named Mr. Chow (Ken Jeong), is locked in the trunk and attacks them upon his release. Alan admits to having drugged their drinks the night before, hoping they’d have a better time, but had been sold Roofies by accident.

They head back to the hotel to look for further evidence, but discover Mike Tyson instead, who is the owner of the tiger in their bathroom. He forces them to bring the tiger back to his place, and on the way there it destroys their car. After returning the tiger they’re attacked again by Mr. Chow and his men. According to Chow, they’d mixed up bags the night before, and they were holding $80,000 of Chow’s money. Chow demands it back in exchange for Doug, whom he has apparently captured. Unable to find the money, Alan decides to use his knowledge of counting cards to win the money in Blackjack. The money is returned, though Chow had captured a different Doug (Mike Epps), who was the dealer that had sold the Roofies to Alan.

Phil is in the middle of calling Doug’s fiance to tell her they lost Doug, when Stu realizes where Doug is. The guys had seen a mattress flung from their hotel earlier, and Stu deduces that Doug is locked on the roof. They find him, sunburned but holding on to the $80,000. They rush back home and make it to the wedding just in time. Phil happily goes back to his family, whilst Stu breaks up with his girlfriend and arranges a date with Jade. Alan finds a camera they’d had with them, & together they look at the images from the night they’d forgotten”

Check out these super cute Las Vegas bags!
